Vandan Engineering was established in 1967 by Belgian immigrant, Andre Van den heever, and owing to its ongoing investment in innovation, staff training and technology, Vandan soon earned its reputation as South Africa’s, and Africa’s, leading cutting die manufacturer.
In 2008, Alex Largatzis purchased and re-established the business and shortly thereafter, the business achieved SABS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certification. After 9 years in the business, Alex decided to seek new challenges and started negotiations with Claude Naidoo – the former workshop manager – who purchased the business in Dec 2017. Alex was retained as management consultant. Claude’s son Andre, after finishing his university studies, and Claude’s wife Brenda, a qualified bookkeeper, assist Claude in the running of the business, to ensure that Vandan remains a ‘family’ business.
The business continues to go from strength to strength and recently attained its ISO 9001:2015 quality certification.
Vandan is now also a level 1: BBBEE contributor.
